About Dr. Michael

Dr. Michael is a Doctor of Physical Therapy here at B Physical Therapy. He enjoys helping athletes and active adults get back from injury and back to doing what they love. He has a special interest in working with soccer players and goalkeepers.

Dr. Michael has over 7 years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer. He enjoys staying active by playing soccer, weight training, and CrossFit.

Education

Dr. Michael earned his Doctorate from AdventHealth University. Dr. Michael played collegiate soccer at Barry University where he also obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. He is a native of Oviedo and attended Oviedo High School.

About Dr. Drew

Dr. Drew is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) here at B Physical Therapy. Dr. Carrell enjoys helping recreational and professional athletes recover from injury and maximize performance. Dr. Drew is our specialist in Dry Needling Treatment and is certified through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy: Dry Needling Institute.

Dr. Drew continues to stay active with weight training, CrossFit, and HIIT. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Becca, who is also a physical therapist. They live here in Orlando with their two dogs, Remy and Mack.

Education

Dr. Drew earned his Doctorate from the University of St. Augustine in 2018. He has over 8 years of experience in the medical field as well as completing internships at the prestigious Johns Hopkins hospital and the IMG Academy in Florida.

About Dr. Katie

Dr. Katie is a Doctor of Physical Therapy here at B Physical Therapy. Dr. Katie enjoys helping patients with orthopedic and sports injuries. She has a special interest in working with teens and young adults pursuing higher-level athletics. She also has over 10 years of experience practicing Vinyasa Yoga. Additionally, Dr. Katie has a strong background in personal training as she holds a personal trainer certification from the highly accredited American College of Sports Medicine.

As an athlete herself, Dr. Katie has experienced her fair share of injuries including a significant wrist fracture in 2015 that shaped her career as a future PT. Dr. Katie played collegiate rugby while earning her undergraduate degree at William & Mary in Virginia.

Dr. Katie is still a very active athlete, playing adult-league flag football, competing in bodybuilding shows, and performing weight training and CrossFit. Dr. Katie lives in Orlando with her fiancé, Steven and their two cats (Archer and Ivy). She loves to travel the world and seek new adventures.

Education

Dr. Katie earned her Doctorate from the University of Central Florida in 2020. While at UCF, she was also a Graduate Teaching Associate and Adjunct Professor.

About Dr. Becca

Dr. Becca is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) here at B Physical Therapy. She enjoys helping women as they prepare for childbirth, return to their favorite activities postpartum, and navigate physical changes that occur throughout menopause. Dr. Becca is also certified in Dry Needling through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy: Dry Needling Institute.

Dr. Becca enjoys staying active with weight training, yoga, and rowing on her Hydrow. She loves to recharge by spending time with her husband, Drew, or cuddling up with her dogs and a good fiction book.

Education

Dr. Becca earned her Doctorate from the University of St. Augustine in 2018. Dr. Becca was a collegiate coxswain for the University of Central Florida where she also earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences.

My story…

When I was 16 years old, I injured my lower back so badly I was unable to run, jump, or participate in anything athletic for months. I was fortunate enough to be directed to a compassionate physical therapist, also named Stephen! He not only helped me to eliminate my back pain, but he also directed the course of my life. After completing physical therapy myself, I knew I wanted to impact the lives of others the same way he impacted mine. I truly want to help each, and every person live a happy, healthy and fulfilling life! Since then, my life has been dedicated to helping people who are frustrated by pain live a joyful, active, pain-free life!
